Ok, This is a fun one, and it may even make you a little upset. So just take a deep breath!
In case you don't know what a First Amendment auditor does, let me first say that everything they do is completely legal and even protected under the First Amendment. In a nutshell, they go out to public spaces and record with a camera, and most of the time, someone, normally a public servant, gets upset that they are being videotaped. This can lead to some entertaining interactions, some with even police geting involved.
Being that most of the work we do is creating media content that streamlines business, we jumped on the opportunity to go out and film some aerials for the YouTube channel, “GCNN” (The Good Citizens News Network).
GCNN approached us and asked us to fly the exterior of a building where they had filmed. We watched some of there footage and decided to stage a shot of camera man Jack while he was walking into the building, which would cut nicely into his original footage.
We asked Jack why he wanted drone footage. “It gives the viewer a different view of the layout. It adds a level of professionalism. Sure I could have used Google Earth studio to give me the same pan you gave me, but I can’t duplicate that birds eye view of me walking in.”
In content creation, blending controversy with entertainment is a powerful tool that captures attention and sparks conversations. When you see a First Amendment auditor at work, remember they're exercising a fundamental right that keeps free speech alive. Appreciate the complexity and creativity of creating content that entertains and enlightens. Stay curious, engaged, and keep questioning.
